As a Registered Interior Designer and founder of a successful design firm, I’ve spent over a decade creating environments that inspire confidence and comfort. But behind the scenes, I’ve struggled with something much more personal, melasma and skin pigmentation issues that have impacted my confidence for years.

I tried countless treatments, spent money on products that didn’t work, and visited clinics that didn’t truly understand pigmentation at its root cause. What I discovered shocked me: in Canada, laser technicians aren’t required to have formal education or licensing. That lack of proper training can lead to incorrect treatments, burns, or permanent damage. I’ve lived through that frustration firsthand.

That’s why I decided to create something different.

I’m currently completing my Laser Technician Diploma so that when you walk into Bloom & Beam Laser Studio, you know you’re being treated by someone who’s invested in education, safety, and results.I want every client to feel confident that they’re receiving evidence-based laser treatments performed by someone who truly understands laser technology, skin science, and pigmentation correction, not someone who learned from a weekend course.

At Bloom & Beam, I’m also investing in advanced medical-grade laser technology designed to safely and effectively treat a wide range of skin tones and concerns including melasma, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, and tattoo removal.

One of my biggest goals is to change the experience of where and how laser treatments are delivered. I don’t want my clients to walk into a cold, clinical setting that feels intimidating.Instead, I’m designing a space that feels calm, warm, and welcoming, a reflection of my design roots.
